Sydney Banks – Musician (woodwind/reed instruments)

Hi world! I am beyond excited to join the MPP board as a new member this year. I have been involved with music/musical theater since 2003 when I began learning my first instrument. Over the years I have performed in bands and orchestras in a variety of outlets: classic, marching, jazz, show band, pit orchestras and more! I have had some amazing opportunities over the years including marching in the Citrus Bowl Parade, marching in the Electric Light Parade in Disney World, as well as being a 2011 Illinois All-State Orchestra member. Most recently, I’ve performed in The Little Mermaid, Elf The Musical, The Producers, and Tuck Everlasting and I am a Brooklyn Community Band member. I am thrilled to bring my instrumentation background and experience to the MPP board and can’t wait to grow in this new role.
